The truth is always funny. Joining Comedy Courage has given me support emotionally and a lot of new friends to hang out with. I recommend this form a therapy to anyone. We are going to ROCK! So come on down and laugh with us.  Who knows you might want to get a diagnoses! Comedy Courage has taught me a way to face my depression and some of my fears through humor and laughter. I believe that laughter is good for the soul, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to share parts of my life in a lighthearted and humorous way in front of an appreciative audience. What an experience! I am grateful for Comedy Courage for giving me an opportunity to look at my wonky mental health issues in a humourous way and not be so down on myself each day. I can now look at all the creative aspects I do have!
Comedy Courage is special to me because it’s a new forum & medium for those of us living with mental health issues to share their experiences through the healing power of laughter, while sharing new facets of my personality. I am very pleased to have the privilege of participating in Comedy Courage. I believe in the opportunity of sharing mental health wellness. I am going to show you this on stage by building self-confidence. Comedy Courage provides great benefit to society as a whole. Comedy Courage is special to be because I get to laugh with myself. I have met great new positive people and open myself in a new way. I’m not alone. I feel uplifted when I’m up on stage. New breath to my life!
My creative confidence was completely shot. Comedy Courage is special to me because it helped me to break through that deep despair. I am finding enjoy in life through writing again. Comedy Courage ROCKS! It was a GIANT leap for me to be involved with Comedy Courage last year. But what I realized is that I didn’t die on stage. I gained strength and learned invaluable tools for dealing quickly with my depression. I am glad I had the courage to do it. I am thrilled to be back for a 2nd season. Comedy Courage has given me a chance to work on communicating my life experience on my personal mental health issues through laughter to the general public. The group work is very supportive and creative. This helps me enjoy more aspects of my life.
